Lancaster Recreations Summer Program Series!
9- weeks running from June 23, 2025 - August 22, 2025

Summer programs provide kids with opportunities to learn, grow, and engage in activities they might not experience during the school year. Whether through sports, arts, technology, or outdoor adventures, these programs can help children build new skills, make friends, and stay active. They also offer a chance to explore interests in a fun and supportive environment.
Early arrival will start 1 hour before the program starts and extended day is 1 hour after the program ends for an additional cost, $40 per week for either early arrival OR extended day or BOTH for $75 per week.
All programs will be held at the Lancaster Community Center- programs will be outside, in the gym or meeting room at the center.

Hogwarts STEAM Express- Full-Day: All aboard the 2025 Hogwarts STEAM Express! Join us on Platform 9 3⁄4 for a week of science magic and fun filled learning.
Engage in potion mastery, crafting sparkling and fizzing magical brews, and explore herbology and the senses with real dried plants and herbs to create a potions ingredient jar. Use invisible ink like the marauder’s map to create secret messages. Dive into divination and make a color changing crystal ball as we look to see what the
future holds.Full day wizards will make a Kiwi Crate Solar Lantern to safely explore the
forbidden forest and learn about the power of the sun! Afternoon free choice STEAM activities will enchant any wizarding fan. Make spellbinding
glow in the dark jewelry and a monster book (of monsters). Create your own magical creatures and a custom wicked cool wand.
Sports Medicine- Half-Day- 9am - 12pm: Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope,reflex hammer, and blood pressurecuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon.
Field Hockey- Half-Day- 9am - 12pm: Join Skyhawks for an exciting introduction to Field Hockey, a sport with a global appeal! Developed with USA Field Hockey, this program teaches basics like stick-handling and passing in a game-based environment. Perfect for young athletes looking for a fast-paced sport that focuses on teamwork. Come discover Field Hockey! Please wear athletic clothing and bring multiple water bottles, a snack, and sunscreen. Each participant will receive a Skyhawks award & T-shirt.
Flag Football- Half-Day- 1pm - 4pm: Score a touchdown with Skyhawks Flag Football! This program teaches passing, receiving, kicking, and flag pulling, all while emphasizing heart and spirit. Participants gain confidence and learn life lessons like teamwork and leadership in a fun, supportive environment. Suit up and get in the game with Skyhawks Flag Football! Please wear athletic clothing and bring multiple water bottles, a snack, and sunscreen. Each participant will receive a Skyhawks award & T-shirt.
