Lancaster Recreations Summer Program Series!
9- weeks running from June 23, 2025 - August 22, 2025

Summer programs provide kids with opportunities to learn, grow, and engage in activities they might not experience during the school year. Whether through sports, arts, technology, or outdoor adventures, these programs can help children build new skills, make friends, and stay active. They also offer a chance to explore interests in a fun and supportive environment.
Early arrival will start 1 hour before the program starts and extended day is 1 hour after the program ends for an additional cost, $40 per week for either early arrival OR extended day or BOTH for $75 per week.
All programs will be held at the Lancaster Community Center- programs will be outside, in the gym or meeting room at the center.

Minecraft Mania-- Wicked Cool Minecraft is back! Using the updated Minecraft Education platform, Minecraft Mania skillfully blends virtual and
real-world learning experiences for maximum learning and fun. In the morning, become an intrepid explorer using a Minecraft avatar to dive into the wonders of engineering, physics, and biology to build our own Wicked Cool Minecraft town. Follow up with fun companion hands-on STEAM lessons to learn about engineering, biology and physics. We will do a dino dig and learn the properties of real rocks and minerals found in Minecraft. Complete the week with a creative Kiwi Crate Geologist Starter Kit and kick off your
collection with real samples of obsidian, calcite, sandstone and pyrite (aka fool’s’ gold).
Beginners Golf- Half-Day- 9am - 12pm: Swing into Skyhawks Beginning Golf, powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences. This beginning program focuses on fun and repetition with a games-based approach that can be played on any surface. Specialized equipment is used to ensure early success for young players. Key skills like putting and chipping are taught through engaging activities. Ideal for beginners and those improving, join Skyhawks for rewarding progress with every shot! Participants may NOT bring their own clubs. Please wear athletic clothing and bring multiple water bottles, a snack, and sunscreen. Each participant will receive a Skyhawks award & T-shirt.
