Join Lancaster Recreation for our summer program series!
We will be offering nine (9) weeks of summer programs for you can choose from either a STEM program or a Sports program with half-day or full-day options most weeks. Summer programs will start on the week of 6/24 and end the week of 8/19.
Most of our summer programs start at 9:00am and run until 3:00pm (with the exception of a few starting at 8:30am). Half-day programs run from 9:00am –12:00pm (with the exception of one (1) program running from 8:30am - 11:30am, one (1) program running 12:30pm - 3:30pm and full-day programs run from 9:00am - 3:00pm (with the exception of one (1) program running from 8:30am - 3:30pm). Early arrival will start 1 hour before the program starts and extended day is 1 hour after the program ends for an additional cost, $50 per week for either early arrival or extended day or both for $40 per week.
All programs will start the day off at LBMS- some programs will be outside, in the gym or a classroom. This year we are proud to offer five (5) days of summer programming and expanding our services to our COMMUNITY CENTER on FRIDAYS. Each Friday the programs will move to the Lancaster Community Center (LCC) gym, outdoor field, and or meeting room.
Also don't forget to add-on a Summer Program T-shirt for your kiddo, for $15 at checkout! We will wear our Summer Program T-shirts proudly on Fridays or the last day of the program!
Secret Agent Lab-- This program features fun-filled, hands-on, secret agent-themed science activities that allow kids to play detective, explore forensic science, sharpen their surveillance skills, and crack encrypted messages. Kids become super sleuths!
Secret Agent Lab & Splish Splash Art Blast-- This program features fun-filled, hands-on, secret agent-themed science activities that allow kids to play detective, explore forensic science, sharpen their surveillance skills, and crack encrypted messages. Kids become super sleuths! This inspiring week of art-ventures sparks creativity, engagement, exploration and individual expression. Learn about the fascinating underwater world of seahorses, sea turtles and other wonderful creatures while exploring original art forms and techniques. Design beach hats, sunglasses, and T-shirts. Create ocean slime and discover the art of mosaics while creating seashell boxes. Sculpt shimmery coral and goofy clay octopuses. Paint ceramic fish banks, and design ocean creature stuffed animals. Experience painting, printmaking, stained glass, ceramics, collage, mosaics, fabric art and working with clay.
Splish Splash Art Blast- This inspiring week of art-ventures sparks creativity, engagement, exploration and individual expression. Sports Mania- F.A.S.T. Athletics presents sports mania- a full-day program where all players will have a great time playing soccer, pillo polo, dodgeball, and kickball, but the fun continues with handball and pillow polo. Each day includes stretching and warm-up games, and then heads into learning basic skills in the sports of the day. Many games and contests will be featured in this exciting summer program held in a fun and safe environment.
