Parents are also encouraged to ask questions to ensure your child hears what's important for them to know while your out of the home.

Lancaster Recreation’s 2026 Summer Program Series!  9 weeks of fun: June 21, 2026 – August 21, 2026 Full-Day & Half-Day options available most weeks Early Drop-Off & Extended Day options also available! Give your kids a summer full of adventure, creativity, and friendship! From sports and arts to STEM activities and outdoor exploration, our programs help children learn new skills, make friends, stay active, and have a blast in a safe and supportive environment.Early Drop-Off: 1 hour before program starts – $50/weekExtended Day: 1 hour after program ends – $50/weekBoth: $85/week All activities are held at the Lancaster Community Center, utilizing indoor and outdoor spaces depending on the program.Don’t forget a Summer Program T-shirt – $15 at checkout to make your summer memories even more fun! Photography-- : A fun, hands-on 5-day digital photography workshop for ages 10–14 who want to learn the fundamentals of DSLR photography in a supportive, creative environment. Campers will practice photographing portraits, objects, and outdoor scenes while exploring both automatic and manual camera settings, along with natural and artificial lighting. Students will build confidence behind the camera, learn how a DSLR works, and gain a solid foundation in composition, lighting, and basic photo editing using software. Each camper will complete a mini portfolio that shows what they learned.• Certificate: Basic Digital Photography Certificate of Completion• Equipment: Provided (students may bring their own if preferred)• Take-home: SD card with their completed work• Experience: No previous experience required (helpful but not necessary) Hogwarts STEAM-- All aboard the Hogwarts STEAM Express! Join us on Platform 9 ¾ for a week of science magic and fun filled learning. Engage in Potion Mastery and crafting magical brews. Explore Herbology and the senses with real dried plants and herbs to create an ingredient jar for your potions. Use invisible ink like the Marauder’s Map to create secret messages. Dive into Divination and make a color changing crystal ball as we look to see what the future holds! NEW Full Day wizards will experiment with the magical Kiwi Kit Slime Circuit Crate. Afternoon free choice STEAM activities include spellbinding glow in the dark jewelry, custom wands, feather quills and bubbling potion experiments.
